Conditions of supply

Written for the person who raises the purchase order. The short version is on every product page. This is the version the account file is held to.

  1. 01Who may orderGoods are supplied only to a verified laboratory or research institute, and only after comprehensive due diligence. A private individual cannot open an account. A catalogue page is not an offer to the public.
  2. 02How an order is formedAn enquiry produces a quotation addressed to the institution. The order exists when that institution sends a purchase order that matches the quotation, and we accept it in writing. Adding an article to the quotation list on this site does not place an order.
  3. 03Price and paymentPrices, currency, Incoterms, and payment terms are stated on the quotation. They are not published here, and they are not implied by a pack size. Bank details appear on the invoice.
  4. 04UseArticles are for laboratory research and analysis only. They are to be handled by technically qualified people, or under their direct supervision. They are not for human or veterinary administration, and they are not a medicine, food, cosmetic, or household product.
  5. 05DocumentsThe lot is released with its analytical data: identity, purity method, and retest or expiry, as applicable to the article. A safety data sheet is provided where the article requires one. Documents match the lot on the label. They are issued to the account, not posted as a standing file on the public page.
  6. 06DeliveryThe ship-to address is the institution. We do not deliver to a residence. The buyer is responsible for local permits, import formalities, and any licence the article requires in the destination country.
  7. 07Resale and refusalResale, repackaging for onward sale, or transfer to a laboratory we have not reviewed requires our written agreement. We may limit, delay, or refuse an account or an order, including after a quotation, if the review is not satisfactory.

Questions purchasing offices ask

Can a student order for a personal project?
No. The account is the institution. A student may be the named contact only when the laboratory authorises the enquiry and the goods go to the institute.
Why is there no price on the product page?
A public price would look like an open shop. Purchasing offices at the houses we supply against work from a quotation addressed to the institution, after the account is known.
Where is the certificate of analysis?
It belongs to a lot. It is sent with that lot, or to the verified account on request, and the lot number must match the label. A certificate from another batch is not a document for the vial in hand.
Do you claim GMP or an ISO certificate?
No. We do not display a certification we do not hold. What we do state is the analytical record for the lot, and the review of the laboratory before shipment.
What if the article is controlled in our country?
Tell us before the quotation is accepted. We will not ship an article the destination cannot lawfully receive. Extra time for a licence is normal, and it is not a reason to skip the account review.
